Avago Technologies Inc. has introduced the ASMT-Rx45 series low-power, high-brightness lead frame chip LEDs. Designed for small-pixel indoor signs and backlighting for automobile consoles and dashboards as well as for industrial switches and buttons, the AlInGaP chip LEDs provide a viewing angle of 130° to improve visibility in bright sunlight. They they come in various colors and can be soldered. They have a Joint Electronic Device Engineering Council moisture sensitivity level rating of 2a and a form factor of 1.65 × 0.8 × 0.45 mm.
