EMI CANCELLATION

Integrated Dynamics.jpgIntegrated Dynamics Engineering (IDE) has upgraded its MK series electromagnetic interference (EMI) cancellation system. The active analog and digital controls in the new-generation MK 4 have been enhanced to protect microscopy, lithography and medical instruments from DC and AC disturbances. The quasi-DC disturbances that are blocked are rated typically below 15 Hz, and the attenuated AC disturbances vary in a periodic or cyclical manner. The system attenuates within a frequency range from DC to 10 kHz. Sensors are placed near the equipment to be protected, and a signal is fed through the controller to a compensation coil to produce precisely calibrated electromagnetic fields, which create a minimized effective field at the sensor site, neutralizing the initial disturbance.
