Manufacturer: Sofradir
INFRARED DETECTOR

Sofradir.jpgJanus, a staring snapshot 320 × 256 short- and midwave infrared focal plane assembly, has been launched by Sofradir. Operating in the 2- to 3-μm and 3- to 5-μm bands, it is available in various long-vacuum-life Dewar and cooler configurations. The array has a 30 × 30-μm pixel pitch and operates at a temperature of 77 K. Readout noise is <120 μV, pixel output rate is up to 10 MHz per output, and full frame rate is up to 120 Hz. Applications include military target identification, signal recognition and clutter rejection. The company developed the system in cooperation with CEA-Leti-Minatec using proprietary stable, low-defect-density photovoltaic HgCdTe molecular beam epitaxy technology.
