Paraytec Ltd. has launched its patented ActiPix D100 miniature UV imaging detector, which uses a capillary as combined sample vessel and optical element for inherent spatial separation of sample and reference beams. It measures picoliter to nanoliter volumes with high sensitivity and without sacrificing the 70-μm spatial resolution. It captures measurements across the 7 × 9-mm active pixel sensor area and images single or multiple capillaries. The detector comprises a control box and a 6 × 11 × 6.5-cm remote sensor head containing a capillary cartridge. It performs in-line detection with any mass spectrometer.
