Rolyn Optics Co.’s VMM 200 measuring microscope is now offered with X-Y measuring ranges of 150 × 100 or 250 × 150, with a Z measuring range of 150 mm and with resolution as high as 0.0001 mm. A cold fiber optic light source with a 30- to 250-W reflective halogen lamp produces transmitted, incident, oblique incident or ringlight modes for metallurgical, bright- and dark-field, interference contrast and polarization applications. The Leica optics have magnifications from 25× to 1000×. The modular instrument is available in manual mode or in any of several fully automated modes with digital readout.
