Rofin-Sinar Technologies Inc., with headquarters in Plymouth, Mich., and Hamburg, Germany, has acquired 100 percent of the common stock of Corelase Oy of Tampere, Finland. The latter company specializes in semiconductors, optics, fiber technology and laser materials processing. It will continue to operate as a separate entity and to provide products to its distributors.

In other news, Rofin-Sinar Technologies’ subsidiary, Rofin-Baasel UK Ltd., has acquired 100 percent of the common stock of ES Technology Ltd. of Oxford, UK, a developer of customized laser marking systems for the medical, electronic and automotive industries.
