NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory of Pasadena, Calif., has chosen Tower Semiconductor Ltd. of Migdal Haemek, Israel, to manufacture CMOS image sensors for use in the development of its advanced MultiSpectral Polarimetric Imager for the study of atmospheric aerosols; the imager is intended for airborne and space-borne implementation. The sensors feature high quantum efficiency and 10-e read noise.
