The Infinity 1 Digital Kit from Media Cybernetics Inc. includes a CMOS color or monochrome microscopy camera, which works with the Image-Pro Plus and Image-Pro Express image processing software. Suitable for qualitative scientific imaging, it features live video preview for real-time focusing and automated exposure and white balance. The low-noise characteristic of the progressive-scan 1.3-megapixel image sensor results in high color quality for bright- and dark-field microscopy applications, including clinical pathology and cytology, life sciences research, and geology. The USB 2.0 interface eliminates the need for a framegrabber. Full-color subwindowing enables the focus and scanning of samples at 15 fps at full 1280 × 1024 resolution and at 60 fps at 640 × 480 resolution. The system also provides selectable 8- and 10-bit data modes.
