Dalsa Corp. has added three models to its Genie series GigE Vision-compliant digital cameras. Designed for high-speed industrial imaging applications, the compact Genie HM series represents the integration of sensor, camera and board image acquisition technologies into one component. The HM640, HM1024 and HM1400 monochrome devices capture image data at up to 295 fps in VGA resolution and up to 60 fps at 1400 × 1024-pixel resolution. They are equipped with a high-speed sensor and, taking advantage of Gigabit Ethernet technology, they transmit data over CAT-5e and CAT-6 cables to distances as far as 100 m. When the cameras are connected to the system, the Genie Framework software automatically communicates to the Sapera Essential machine vision environment.
