The C10054 series intensified CCD cameras from Hamamatsu Corp. can capture stills or video with up to 480 lines of resolution. Occupying half the volume of previous models, the devices have shutter times as brief as 5 ns. Equipped with either a TV format or a progressive-scan CCD, they are available with GaAsP, GaAs or multialkali photocathodes with respective spectral responses of 280 to 720 nm, 370 to 920 nm and 185 to 900 nm. Offered with a one- or two-stage microchannel plate, the cameras feature a photocathode illuminance as low as 4 × 10^–7 lx.
