X-RAY STREAK CAMERA
Sydor Instruments LLC has launched the Sydor Ross (Rochester optical streak system) 8600 x-ray streak camera for use in ultrafast diagnostic and single secondary electron detection applications. Based on technology developed at the University of Rochester and licensed to Sydor, the camera features <1-ps temporal resolution, spatial magnification of 1.5 and spatial resolution of 20 line pairs per millimeter. Trigger input rise time is <10 ns, and trigger jitter is <70 ps rms. The 9 × 9 × 38.8-in. camera operates from a 28-VDC supply. Dark current is <0.1 electrons per pixel per second at –35 °C, and system noise is <5 electrons per pixel.
