The ODD-3W-2 bi-cell photodiode has been unveiled by Opto Diode Corp. The low-noise, 3-mm² bi-cell detector features a spectral response of 0.55 A/W at 900 nm and high shunt resistance at 250 MΩ, minimum. The chip measures 0.100 × 0.048 in. and comes packaged in standard TO-5 cans for easy integration. Applications include position sensing, emitter alignment, test and measurement, and industrial tasks where single-axis nulling is required. Operating temperature ranges from –40 to 125 °C.
