COMPACT-HEAD CAMERA
The compact MotionXtra HG-CH tethered-head camera for onboard vehicle impact testing applications has been released by
Redlake. The device features a 752 × 564-pixel resolution high-speed CMOS sensor (in color or monochrome), and it delivers 1000 fps at full resolution. Printed circuit boards inside the camera head are positioned so that heat is transferred away from the sensor, improving image quality. The device can withstand up to approximately 100
g in repeated crash tests, according to the company. Its controller can handle up to four HG-TH or HG-CH camera heads in any combination, and it can have up to 8 GB of onboard memory. The camera has backward compatibility with numerous controllers and can be integrated into networks of other MotionXtra cameras. It incorporates the MotionCentral software.
