Melles Griot Corp.’s Laser Group has added models to its 56 RCS series diode laser assemblies. Output at 408 nm is 50 mW; at 442 nm, 36 mW; at 642 nm, 45 mW; and at 658 nm, 75 mW. Other models are available with output ranging from 408 through 830 nm. The self-contained series platform includes drive electronics, analog and high-speed modulation with a bandwidth >300 MHz and a rise/fall time of <1 ns. Advanced positioning techniques provide repeatable optical performance with far-field beam circularity of >95%, precisely controlled beam divergence and accurate beam waist location. The 0.7-mm beam diameter facilitates external fiber coupling with commercially available components.
