New data acquisition capabilities have been added to Photon Inc.’s FireWire BeamPro and USBeamPro products. A single version of the company’s BeamPro software can control up to 16 USBeamPro beam profilers or an unlimited number of FireWire BeamPro systems, without requiring installation of multiple frame capture cards to acquire data. A complete ActiveX command set for the software is provided so that customers can write their own applications software to control and analyze several beam profilers simultaneously. Applications include research and manufacturing of optical components used for laser scanning and projection, laser assembly and beam conditioning.
