NEC to Merge Subsidiaries

NEC Akita Ltd. and NEC Kagoshima Ltd. will merge with their parent company, NEC LCD Technologies Ltd. of Tokyo, effective April 1. The integration is aimed at improving operational efficiency. The parent company provides active-matrix LCD modules for the industrial and high-end monitor markets.
