ANALOG AND DIGITAL MODES

LightspeedTech_HPLS.jpgLightspeed Technologies has introduced analog and digital modes for its interchangeable high-power LED light sources. The analog mode features full optical power as high as 400 mW at 500 kHz. Optical output follows the input signal with user-selectable formats of 0 to 5 V, 0 to 10 V, 0 to 20 mA and 4 to 20 mA. The digital mode is short-pulsed and externally triggered with rise and fall times of less than 150 ns and peak optical power increases of up to eight times. In short-pulsed applications that require a biased optical background of matching geometry, a dual-trigger control allows simultaneous analog and digital operation. Applications include high-speed imaging and solar cell and detector testing.
