A UV-curing spot lamp that allows manual intensity adjustment during initial UV process validation and production has been developed by Dymax Corp. With the BlueWave 200, the upper and lower intensity limits of a UV-curing process can be identified in a production setting. The device emits primarily in UVA and blue visible light (300 to 450 nm) and is designed for curing adhesives, coatings and encapsulants. It features an integral shutter that can be actuated by a foot pedal or PLC.
