The PS family of digital cameras from Kappa opto-electronics GmbH are designed for software integration and are compatible with the Kappa Sdk3 environment, which is based on .net and CAPI. With the software or the interface description, they serve as components in systems for measuring and testing. Based on variable electronics, they offer advanced circuitry, high signal quality, low power consumption and a rugged design. Integrators have a choice of color or black-and-white systems, along with CCD sensors with megapixel resolution by Sony and Kodak, and various interfaces, including FireWire IIDC and Camera Link. The design and board layout can be adapted to individual needs. The cameras are available in hexagonal housing, in the standard cubic design (60 × 60 × 47 mm) or as a camera board.
