Dilas Diode Laser Inc. has released a fiber-coupled diode laser module that delivers 40 W of continuous-wave output power at wavelengths of 808, 915, 940 and 980 nm via a 400-μm-diameter, single-core multimode fiber. The high-efficiency device is designed for a variety of medical applications as well as for fiber laser pumping. It measures >100 × 31 × 20 mm and features a typical spectral width of <3 nm FWHM.
