Origin Laboratories LLC has added the Purosol Optical cleaner to its line of enzyme-based products for advanced lenses. The organic cleaner is designed to protect multicoated lenses and other optical devices, including eyewear, cameras, microscopes, telescopes and video cameras. It breaks up the molecular bonds that hold dirt, salt, oil and grime to the lens surface without damaging the lens coating. It neutralizes the molecular charges on the lens surface to extend the life of the cleaning. Nontoxic and hypoallergenic, it contains no chlorofluorocarbons, detergents or solvents (including alcohol, ammonia and chlorine), which can be harmful to porous electronic screens and can strip away antiglare coatings.
