The TruLaser 5030 flatbed laser machine from Trumpf Inc. employs a 10.6-μm, 6000-W CO₂ laser. The beam automatically changes to match sheet thickness without the need to change heads. The head folds during a collision and automatically reassumes the correct position after small collisions. Improved processing cuts time up to one-half for thin sheets and reduces surface residue. The optional nozzle exchanger automatically changes the nozzle.
