Introduced by Dalsa Corp., the Spyder 3 CL line-scan camera with a Camera Link interface is suitable for glass edge inspection, general-purpose web inspection, industrial metrology, pick-and-place applications, and medical and scientific imaging. It achieves high broadband sensitivity and a 68-kHz line rate. The fully programmable camera operates with throughput of 40 or 80 megapixels per second and offers flat-field correction, correlated double sampling, and precise control over gain and offset. It is available with 1024 × 2048-pixel resolution and with a GigE interface that transfers images directly to the host PC memory without a frame grabber.
