Cognex Corp. has unveiled the MVS-8600e, a family of frame grabbers that connects Camera Link imagers through the PCI Express interface. The devices are available in single- and dual-channel models that increase throughput even with large images. They include onboard encoder support and software-configurable input/output lines and support cameras with pixel clock rates up to 85 MHz. They are designed to handle asynchronous, synchronous and multitap image acquisition. Applications include high-speed and high-resolution machine vision.
