The NI Vision Development Module 8.5 from National Instruments provides a library of image processing and machine vision functions for multiple program languages, including NI LabView and LabWindows/CVI, as well as Microsoft C, C++, Visual Basic and .NET. Featuring an improved edge-detection algorithm and support for new 2-D codes, it enables machine designers to more effectively enhance images, check for presence, locate features, identify objects and measure parts. The edge detectors find edges at 1/25 or better pixel accuracy and offer improved reliability in images with noise. The module includes the Vision Assistant Express VI and the Vision Acquisition Express VI software packages.
