The TechSpec elliptical plate beamsplitters from Edmund Optics Inc. are designed to maximize beamsplitting efficiency while minimizing mounting space. When oriented at 45° in the optical path, the device creates a circular aperture equal to the diameter of the minor axis. The beamsplitters are available in two thicknesses: 1.0 mm for tight spaces and 3.0 mm with an improved surface accuracy of λ/4. They are available with both visible and near-IR 50/50 beamsplitter coatings and feature a multilayer antireflection coating.
