The device is based on Sony’s ICX625 progressive-scan CCD sensor, which offers 2456 × 2048-pixel resolution at 12 fps, as well as a global electronic shutter. Measuring 29 × 44 mm, the piA2400-12gm/gc is available in monochrome or color. It provides 12-bit readout, programmable exposure controls, binning modes (up to 4 × 4 binning), a programmable area-of-interest feature with speed increase, asynchronous external triggering and synchronization, and packed data transfer for high frame rates, even in color modes (luminance-bandwidth-chrominance). No frame grabber is required.
