United Electronic Industries Inc. has upgraded its UEIPAC series programmable automation controllers, which now have sample and PID loop processing rates more than eight times greater than before. The maximum analog input sample rate is now 576 kilosamples per second, and up to eight PID loops now can be processed simultaneously at greater than 20 kHz. No changes in existing code are required, and they are field-upgradable.
