FRAME GRABBER
Active Silicon Ltd. has enhanced its PCI Express frame grabber offerings with the introduction of the Phoenix D36-PE1 LVDS board. It acquires digital data from digital frame capture and line- and area-scan cameras. It has 36 bits used for input data, with 4 bits for control, providing support for a single 12-bit RGB or a 32-bit mono data source, including multitap cameras. The RoHS-compliant device supports clock rates to 60 MHz and achieves burst rates of >190 MB/s. Region-of-interest and subsampling controls increase processing speed by storing only the required data, and the look-up table provides gamma correction, dynamic range cropping and binary thresholding in real time.
