SVS-Vistek GmbH has announced that its svs625 monochrome 5-megapixel camera now is available with a Gigabit Ethernet interface. It does not require a frame grabber board, and data can be transmitted over distances of up to 100 m. The progressive-scan camera achieves 2448 × 2048-pixel resolution with a 2/3-in. sensor at a rate of 15 fps. Binning with 1 × 2, 2 × 1 and 2 × 2 pixels is available. Camera configuration software adjusts parameters such as gain, offset and exposure time. Free-running and triggered operation modes enable integration into specific applications. The camera measures 51 × 55 × 73 mm and has a C-mount optical interface.
