For sorting, positioning and quality control in packaging and converting applications, Pepperl+Fuchs Inc.’s Dura-Vue DF12 series color sensors can be taught to recognize three independent colors with a single sensor. Programming is via a potentiometer setting at the sensor or via a remote teach signal from a programmable logic controller. Each of the three channels can detect even minute color variations, with user-selected degrees of tolerance. The metal-framed housing features a swivel connector.
