Two new motorized OptiGrid illumination system models for use with Zeiss Axio Observer and Axio Imager microscopes have been unveiled by Qioptiq Imaging Solutions. Zeiss users now can integrate structured-illumination microscopy into their conventional benchtop microscope suites as an alternative to confocal microscopy for high-contrast fluorescence, 2-D optical sectioning, and 3- and 4-D live-cell image acquisition. The automated focus grid sliders improve repeatability across all wavelengths. With the enhanced OptiGrid design for Zeiss microscopes, there is no need to swap grids when changing objectives. One grid frequency covers the full magnification range of objectives from 10× to 100×.
