The Silicon Video SV5C10 12-bit color and SV5M10 12-bit monochrome 5-megapixel progressive-scan cameras have been launched by Epix Inc. Operating at 10 fps, they deliver 2592 × 1944-pixel resolution. At 30 fps, resolution is 1280 × 1024 and at 89 fps, 640 × 480. The MT9P001 sensor from Micron offers an electronic rolling shutter for maximum frame rates and a global reset release shutter for improved sharpness. Other features include windowing, column and row skip modes, snapshot mode and asynchronous capture. A single cable connects the camera head to the frame grabber. The RoHS-compliant cameras are supplied with the Xcap-Lite imaging program.
