Zinc selenide artificial crystal material for coating and polishing optical components is available from Ningbo Yinzhou Huajing Photoelectric Plastic Co. Ltd. It exhibits high tolerance to thermal shock, making it suitable for use in high-power CO₂ lasers. Crystallization pellet size is ∼70 μm, and diaphanous scope is from 0.5 to 15.0 μm. Molecular weight is 144.33, density is 5.3 g/cm³, and the melting point is 1526 °C. The material is water-insoluble and has a linear expansion coefficient of 7.45 × 10^–6. Hardness is 120 kg/mm².
