The Iris E-Series machine vision smart cameras from Matrox Imaging include the Design Assistant intuitive software, enabling OEMs and systems integrators to develop machine vision and imaging applications without programming. In the software environment, users create a flow chart of the application that instructs the camera to capture, analyze, identify, locate, measure, read and remotely display images, and to communicate with external devices. The cameras have monochrome or color CCD sensors and an externally triggered or internally controlled electronic shutter. Available in a single- or a two-piece design, they operate from 0 to 45 °C and with resolutions of 640 × 480, 1024 × 768 or 1280 × 1024 pixels, depending upon the model.
