Because it integrates both a GigE Vision and IEEE-1394 interface, the pylon 1.0 driver package from Basler AG supports the company’s scout and pioneer cameras, as well as older camera families such as the A100, A300 and A600 series. The cameras, which employ the GenICam generic programming interface, can be controlled with a single set of commands via pylon’s unified C++ camera application programming interface. The software development kit offers performance, filter and direct memory access drivers with low resource requirements to achieve data transport into the memory of the PC. It includes an intuitive viewer, an MS DirectX interface and sample programs.
