Pepperl+Fuchs Inc. has announced that its V18 series photoelectric sensors are available in fiber optic and background-suppression models. The visible red and Class 2 laser light sources offer adjustable focus and sensitivity settings, automatic mutual interference protection and immunity to ambient light sources. They feature a rugged 18-mm-diameter cylindrical metal housing with straight or right-angle sensing configurations. As a result of the four-in-one technology, the sensor automatically determines its output without external influence.
