Spectrum Detector Inc. has introduced a family of NIST-traceable USB-powered digital joulemeter probes featuring single- and two-channel LabView applications software for laser energy measurements and experiments. The line includes models based on pyroelectric detectors for use in the 0.1- to 100-μm region, as well as models with silicon and germanium detectors for measurements in the femtojoule range from 0.2 to 1.8 μm. Their modular design enables interchange of the detector with the digital back end and optical front end. The probes can be incorporated into a single-, dual- or multichannel system, lim-ited only by the number of available USB ports.
