The Innova scanning probe microscope has been released by Veeco Instruments Inc. for use in physical, materials and life sciences applications. It performs low-noise closed-loop scanning and offers easy tip exchange, better than 1-μm-resolution top-down optics and a compact footprint. The optics are contained within the protective instrument cover, allowing the probe and sample to be viewed while isolating the optical and electrical components from the environment. The Innova SPMlab-V 7.0 software offers real-time signal diagnostics and processing options, and it provides direct and intuitive access to scan and feedback parameters.
