The iFlex-Viper from Point Source is a multilaser engine that is based on proprietary kineFlex fiber optic technology and that is suitable for applications such as confocal microscopy and DNA sequencing in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. It operates over the visible wavelength range from 405 to 640 nm and includes a mix-and-match choice of diode, gas and diode-pumped solid-state lasers with up to 50 mW per line and optical noise of 0.25% rms. Supplied in robust housing measuring 250 × 240 × 70 mm and with a 3-m fiber cable, the device delivers the laser beam via single-mode optical fiber.
