Shockproof up to 120 g, the Smize digital cameras from AOS Technologies AG are well-suited for harsh environments. Available in 24-bit color and 8-bit monochrome models with memory configurations of 650 MB or 1.3 GB DRAM, the cameras provide 1.3-megapixel resolution at 500 fps and 800 × 600-pixel resolution at 1000 fps. Rates up to 32,000 fps are possible at reduced resolutions. Compact and portable, the cameras are equipped with an internal rechargeable battery for stand-alone operation. Other features include an IEEE-1394a-compatible AOS data interface, a multibuffer mode for multiple-session recording, and AOS Imaging Studio software for point-and-click manual measuring.
