Baumer Optronic GmbH has extended its TX and F series digital matrix cameras to include models equipped with a 5-megapixel progressive-scan CCD sensor and FireWire or Gigabit Ethernet interface. Suitable for industrial applications, the cameras incorporate a 12-bit signal processor and, in high-speed mode, support up to 15 full fps. Their 2/3-in. sensor format allows the use of standard lenses. As with other models in the series, the cameras provide functions such as gain and exposure time settings, with binning and true partial scan readout modes also available. A software interface is provided, and the image data buffer has been upgraded. Synchronization is achieved with standard industrial trigger and flash interfaces.
