PPG Industries Inc. of Pittsburgh has acquired the assets and intellectual property of NanoProducts Corp. Based in Longmont, Colo., the nanoparticle technology company has numerous patents and operates pilot facilities for the development and manufacture of unique nanoparticles. The acquisition is expected to strengthen PPG Industries’ nanotechnology patent portfolio and its position in the nanoengineered materials market. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
