Ionatron Inc. of Tucson, Ariz., a developer and manufacturer of lasers, high-voltage electronics and integrated guided energy systems, has changed its name to Applied Energetics Inc. The company said that the change will reflect the transition of its product focus from directed energy weapons research to engineering and production programs for the military, aerospace and industrial markets.
