Scanlab AG has introduced the Scancube 14, a 14-mm-aperture scan head for laser marking in the packaging, electronic and semiconductor industries. The device achieves good marking quality at 410 characters per second and 280 characters per second at high quality. It features <22-μrad repeatability, <0.3-mrad drift over 8 h, 16.42 beam displacement, 1.0-m/s marking speed and 7.0-m/s positioning speed. The device employs the company’s miniaturized servo amplifiers and dynAxis M galvanometer scanner.
