A line of cables for Camera Link applications has been announced by Northwire Inc. Offered are standard and Power-over-Camera-Link (PoCL) cables with power transmission capabilities. PoCL is available for standard and mini-Camera Link assemblies. The cables use proprietary EnduroFlex blended elastomer jacketing material to withstand rugged industrial and outdoor environments, and they are suitable for applications that require abrasion and flame resistance, high- and low-temperature stability, sunlight/UV resistance and water resistance. They feature 28 arrayed waveguide grating conductors and meet the requirements of Appendixes D and E of the Camera Link specification.
