Suitable for industrial applications, the LumiLase 830-nm single-mode lasers from Modulight Inc. produce up to 50 mW of power. Housed in a 5.6-mm TO-can (product code ML1545), the devices also are available as bare die and are designed for use in CW or pulsed applications that require a low fast-axis divergence. Applications include laser pointers for dusty or underwater environments, distance measurement, laser illumination and rangefinding.
