The Vue-MV-40 laser diode controller with proprietary DiodeGuard protection circuitry has been released by VueMetrix Inc. It features user-settable power, current and operating temperature limits and can be operated via RS-232, USB or analog inputs in either CW or pulsed mode. The device is available in embeddable OEM and stand-alone configurations. It incorporates all required diode and user safety features plus temperature and fault monitoring. The controller offers high power and low noise and is suitable for applications that use 15 to 20 discrete diodes operated in series, including fiber lasers and amplifiers,and materials processing and medical systems. It is supplied with WinVue user interface software.
