Adimec Electronic Imaging Inc. has introduced its Opal-1000 high-speed CCD camera for applications such as metrology, and semiconductor and automated optical inspection. Available in monochrome and color versions, the device delivers up to 120 fps with high image quality and signal-to-noise ratio. Offering 1024 × 1024-pixel resolution and 5.5-μm-pixel size, it employs sensors that offer greater spatial resolution at high speeds. The sensor and electronic technology provide suitable linearity over the full dynamic range of 63 dB. The camera includes features such as a global shutter, channel-matching to below noise level, automatic black and shading, and defect pixel correction. It has a Camera Link interface.
