Blue Sky Research Inc. has unveiled a family of compact semiconductor diode laser modules. The Chromalase II series features integrated micro-optic beam shaping, circular or elliptical beams, <12 W of power consumption, and fully integrated temperature control and laser driver electronics. The modules contain a proprietary μLens and have a power stability of <0.5% over 2 h and a beam alignment accuracy of <5 mrad. Applications include analytical instrumentation, and inspection and metrology.
